Privacy, explained clearly.

Day by Day is a personal activity tracker developed by Md Forhad Reza. This policy covers the Android app com.forhad.daybyday, including the Gmail and Google Drive features in version 2.3.6. It does not cover other MFR apps, which have their own policies.

Your daily records are stored on your device. The app does not send these records to a developer-operated server. Optional Google connections communicate directly with Google. This release contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

02 / INFORMATION YOU ENTER

Your everyday information.

The app stores the profile, preferences and activity records you enter. These can include religion, age and health-related preferences; prayer and Quran activity; study, exercise, sleep and meals; water intake, donations and kindness; notes, dates, reminders and activity history. Some records may reveal sensitive information about your health or beliefs. Enter only what you want to keep.

Settings such as language, section order, reminder choices, selected city or location, and app-lock preferences are also stored locally. PDF reports are created on your device. If you share, save or print a report, the destination you choose receives that report and handles it under its own practices.

03 / GOOGLE CONNECTIONS

Two connections. Clear explanations.

Gmail deadlines

When you connect Gmail, the app requests read-only Gmail access to find possible appointments and deadlines. Version 2.3.6 searches matching messages from the previous 14 days and reads their subjects and plain-text content on your device to identify dates.

It saves imported activity titles, dates, reminder settings, message identifiers and review status locally. It also keeps the selected account email, processed-message identifiers and sync settings. Full email bodies are not saved as activity records. The app does not send, delete or mark your emails as read.

Background scans may run periodically while enabled, subject to Android scheduling. Imported titles and dates can be included in your optional Drive backup. Switching Gmail accounts or disconnecting stops use of the previous connection; it does not erase imported activities.

Google Drive backup

Drive is connected separately from Gmail and may use a different Google account. The app requests access to its own hidden application-data folder using the drive.appdata scope, rather than access to your ordinary Drive documents.

Manual or enabled automatic backups upload supported activity records and preferences to your selected Google account. Version 2.3.6 account backups use HTTPS and your Google account protection; they do not have an additional app-level end-to-end encryption layer or backup passphrase. Older encrypted backup formats require their original recovery secret.

Account identifiers, connection state and backup status are stored locally to manage this feature. Disconnecting Drive stops the connection but leaves existing backups in Google Drive.

Use of Google data

Day by Day uses Google data only to provide the features you enable. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or send email content to an AI model. The app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google handles its services according to the Google Privacy Policy.

04 / PERMISSIONS

Permission with a purpose.

Location

Optional approximate or precise foreground location helps calculate location-based prayer times. You can use a manually selected city instead. The app does not request background location permission.

Notifications, reminders and alarms

Notification permission enables reminders and activity alerts. Vibration, boot handling and scheduled jobs support those features. Android may ask you to allow exact alarms for precisely timed activity alarms. A foreground media-playback service supports alarm audio. These permissions do not provide microphone access.

Network and Google access

Internet and network-state permissions support the optional Gmail and Drive connections and Google services. Google authorization is requested when you connect a feature. You can deny optional access and continue using local tracking features.

Permissions this release does not request

Version 2.3.6 does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts or SMS messages.

05 / YOUR CHOICES

Keep control of your connections.

Use the separate Gmail and Drive settings to choose accounts and manage their features. Disconnect Gmail to stop future scans, and disconnect Drive to stop future backup access. You can also revoke Day by Day’s access through your Google Account permissions. Revoking access and deleting stored data are separate actions.

Manage location, notifications and exact-alarm access in Android settings. Your device’s backup and transfer settings can also affect whether local app data is copied or restored by Android.

06 / RETENTION & DELETION

Know what stays, and how to remove it.

Local records remain until you delete them or clear the app’s storage. Uninstalling normally removes local app storage, but Android backup or device-transfer services may retain or restore eligible data according to your device settings. Exported reports and copies you shared remain wherever you saved or sent them.

Delete imported Gmail activities separately if you no longer want them. Disconnecting Gmail does not remove those entries. Drive backups remain until deleted: use the app’s backup-deletion control while connected, or manage the app’s hidden data through Google Drive. Disconnecting, uninstalling or revoking authorization alone does not delete a remote backup.

Use your device lock and the optional app PIN to limit casual access. Google connections use HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee complete security; the app PIN is not a claim that all local data or current Drive backups are encrypted by the app.

Contact Md Forhad Reza at contact@mdforhadreza.com. Please avoid sending private activity records or email content unless necessary for your request. Information you send in a support email is used to respond to that request and is handled by the email services involved.

The developer cannot retrieve or erase local records or a private Google backup from a developer server, because the app does not store those records there. Follow the deletion controls above, or ask for help finding them.

This policy may change when app features or data handling change. The updated policy and revision date will be shown on this page.
